Mark Clement was born in Winnipeg and quickly moved (still an infant) to Ontario where he grew up in various towns around the province. He attended highschool in Cornwall Where he had his first poem published in the 1958 highschool yearbook.
Mark went to college in Ottawa (electronics) - His first job as a technical wizard (1964) was with Dupont in Kingston… advanced therafter as a corporate slave with various companies finally retiring in 2006 and moving to Cobourg.
I wrote poetry sporadically over the years and have about 25 pieces published in various journals and anthologies…
When asked by the VP of my last company if I wanted to take on some contractual work after retirement… I replied - "No!" - "What will you do?" he says. My reply was simple… "I am going to become a famous poet!" - He replied, "How long will that take?" - I replied, "The rest of my life."
