Have you ever been inspired
to perform your poems before an audience
but don't know where to start?

PerformaPoem can prepare you!
Bring your one page poem to the workshop.

We will workshop the poems as a group, making sure
they are performance-ready, then we will explore
* mic techniques, * performance techniques,and
* offer a few examples on diverse performances.

Finally, the participants will get to practice what they have learned
at a public reading later the same day as part of our POW! Festival:
Saturday, April 17, 1:30 pm Poetry Reading - before a public audience -

Participants from the "PerformaPoem" Workshop
(led by Jill Battson) will give a public Poetry Reading.
Participants might read only the poem they just had workshopped or
they can bring a couple of extra poems to perform at the Reading.
Come, hear up to 15 local poets!
